Basil Grapefruit Martini at Mezza Luna Ristorante

*Local's Favorite at Mezza Luna Restaurant - Neptune Beach*Β 

Ingredients
2 oz 5 Sisters SpiritΒ Vodka
0.75oz Giffard Creme de Pomplemousse (grapefruit)Β Liqueur
1 oz Grapefruit JuiceΒ 
1 Lime wedge
2-3 Basil Leaves

Procedure:
01. Place lime wedge and basil leaves in mixing tin.Β 
02. Add 2oz 5 Sisters Spirit VodkaΒ and
03. 0.75oz Giffard Creme de Pomplemousse.Β 
04. Muddle the lime and basil.Β 
05. Let the muddled mixture macerate for a wee bit(30 sec-1 min) this allows the oils from the basil to integrate with the liquor.Β 
06. Add a splash of grapefruit juice(1oz or so). Add ice, shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with lime peel or basilΒ leaf.
