Basil Grapefruit Martini at Mezza Luna Ristorante

Experience Level: Intermediate

*Local's Favorite at Mezza Luna Restaurant - Neptune Beach* 

2 oz 5 Sisters Spirit Vodka
0.75oz Giffard Creme de Pomplemousse (grapefruit) Liqueur
1 oz Grapefruit Juice 
1 Lime wedge
2-3 Basil Leaves

01. Place lime wedge and basil leaves in mixing tin. 
02. Add 2oz 5 Sisters Spirit Vodka and
03. 0.75oz Giffard Creme de Pomplemousse. 
04. Muddle the lime and basil. 
05. Let the muddled mixture macerate for a wee bit(30 sec-1 min) this allows the oils from the basil to integrate with the liquor. 
06. Add a splash of grapefruit juice(1oz or so). Add ice, shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with lime peel or basil leaf.
